A brief back story…
The printing process.
After many years in the graphic print industry and photography for pure pleasure, it was a natural evolution to print some of these popular images.
I love large format and repetitive images, so when I was recently hired at a sign supply manufacturer, it was with great interest that I learned about printing with our large format printer.
These prints are available in standard sizes listed, but we also have the capability to print 6′ x 10′, that is feet!
Printers generally do not use white ink and with any white areas of my prints the wood grain will show through and become part of the print.
How wonderful for each print is different from the next and the variables increase the life of the captured image.
I have sourced some local sawmills for Cypress planks, beautiful grain light in color, crisp and clear for smaller wood prints.
I prefer Birch panel for the larger prints. I am fortunate to work with a couple of guys making items that provide scrap wood for me to repurpose, reuse and recycle.
The thickness can vary, most are the lightweight 1/4″ for medium size prints and we can discuss thickness for quoted larger size requests.
I am also trimming the prints with vegetable tanned scrap leather and suede I have collected from past projects. The knotted leather works well as a natural framing accent and also lends to the display of the printed wood.
If you have a project in mind send me an email or upload your image and I can review it for size and wood type.
I try to keep up with all the prints from my photos here on Hellonutty.com
If you see something you would like, email me I will put you in line for a re-print.
