Deer in the distance..

Mom just could not believe I had spotted this mule deer in the pastures.

Description

ef-deer

Mom and I were coming home from Gainesville, we like to take the back roads home to Ocala.

As I was driving we took a sharp right down a scenic road and off in the pasture I saw what looked like an Alpaca, but no it was not an Alpaca.  It was a mule deer, grazing.  I pointed it out to my mom and she wondered how I had spotted it.  Well it definitely was not a horse and it caught my eye for that reason.

As we watched and I got my camera out I looked up in the pasture across the street and there were 3 fawns all tentatively watching us.

I was able to get the shots of the mule deer, but the little fawns moved so quickly to take cover, I was just lucky to have caught a glimpse.

Pictured item measures 15″ H x 15″ W.
