There are often moments that need a marker.

Like a bookmark, a folded page, a place…

We wondered how we would mark the place where Dale had passed on the farm…

We had purchased a pressure treated board sanded it, primed it, painted it in sky blue.

Then we struggled to choose the sunflowers and how we would apply them..

With a stencil or freehand, then it came together, I could use the printer at my work…a large format flat bed printer has made a vision into a reality.

I think I may be on to something.

I chose a cypress plank from a local saw mill and with the UV cured ink and a special weather protectant I can produce these custom high quality wood print memorials for others…

I shook a maraca, burned some sage and planted Dale’s sunflower seeds at the base of the post.

I think it is time for a visit, even though it has been just a week since I placed it, going there gives me a sense of connecting with my friend Dale.

I miss him very much.
